I get pleasure out of assisting people living with a disability to maintain life with dignity and to get through their day feeling able. Knowing that I am able to care for someone who is unable to manage life on their own is very rewarding, especially when I am able to see individuals live a fulfilled life in their homes because I have been able to provide them with the assistance they need to live independently. I am very compassionate and caring in nature and feel blessed to be able to make a difference in people’s lives. I love going to the beach, bushwalking, waterfalls, shopping, fishing, watching football, watching basketball, playing ball games, listening to music and listening podcasts. In my free time I tend to head outdoors enjoying the fresh air and beauty in all things nature offers. I have worked as a support worker for the past three years and have finally found my niche. No two days are ever the same and knowing I am making a difference in people’s lives and seeing the effect it has on the people I work with makes my job very enjoyable and makes me feel good about myself and what I can offer others.
