About

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered in their day-to-day lives. With a background in Psychological Science, I’ve developed a strong understanding of mental health and how important meaningful connection and consistency are—especially for people with disabilities. I’m a calm, patient person and I always try to listen closely and respond with care. I believe these qualities help me build trust and create a safe, respectful environment for those I support. Some of my hobbies include playing guitar, gaming, and going on long walks to explore new places. I love learning new things—especially anything related to psychology, music, or wellbeing. I’m passionate about helping people feel more independent and confident in themselves, and I’m someone who shows up reliably and takes the time to get things right. I also speak both English and Mandarin fluently, which helps me support people from different backgrounds. I’ve supported a close friend in better understanding her neurodivergent partner, and through that I’ve learned a lot about ADHD, sensory differences, and how to communicate in ways that feel safe and respectful. These experiences have helped me become more thoughtful, patient, and aware of individual needs.
