About

I love helping others and am happy to get involved in whatever is needed, whether it is helping at home, assisting with errands, exploring outside or learning something new. I thrive on building friendships with everyone I interact with and feel great pleasure when they achieve their goals and desires. Personal experience with ADHD provides me with empathy, boundless enthusiasm, curiosity and energy, which I love sharing with others. Thinking laterally and being non-judgemental has allowed me success and joy as an inclusive and reliable netball coach and swim teacher of both adults and children from all walks of life. I look forward to working as a social carer where I will use my passion and experience to support independence and enable enjoyable living. Skills I possess include: Friendly and professional communication with a diverse range of ages and backgrounds; Active and enthusiastic participation in all aspects of my job; Excellent reliability using a range of scheduling tools to be on time every time; Proactive, adaptable and comfortable with long hours on my feet. I am passionate about: Teaching children and adults to swim safely, including those with neurodiversity and/or additional needs; Providing a fair opportunity for all, regardless of background, culture and experience; Enjoying the beauty of life and nature. I enjoy a wide range of interests and hobbies including: Kayaking, gardening, netball and line dancing as well as reading a good book; Card and board games as well as puzzles with friends and/or family; Exploring new spots whether near or far, I've always loved travel; Fun and live music with life-long friends and my extended family; Assisting where I can with animal welfare, community sport, and recycling to avoid waste. I am so excited to be a social carer as I feel I fit the role perfectly. I love working in this role, along with my existing job at the pool and can't wait to meet your needs. Please contact me for a meet and greet as I have some flexibility in my schedule and look forward to discussing further.
