About
Hi, my name is Linda, I’m a non drinking non smoking social person who loves to start up a conversation, make people feel comfortable and a good listener when others need to be heard. I am FULLY Vaccinated currently 5 Covid 19 vaccinations, Shingles and Whooping Cough. My real loves are cooking, gardening, animals and travel, I enjoy sharing my passions with others. I love to have a day out, a train trip, a ferry ride, maybe a cafe lunch or picnic at the beach or just a gentle walk along the foreshore or in the mountains. I currently live alone with my 2 small dogs ( one only has 3 legs ) and my cat. I also have 2 horses on my sons property. I am an RFS member, during Covid I have been volunteering at the Rural Fire Service Headquarters assisting with their AIDER program calling the elderly to arrange making their homes Fire Safe. I have many years experience caring for the elderly including 2 relatives and a friends mother suffering from dementia and my husband who was terminally ill with cancer. My father in law had paraplegia after a car accident and my husband also suffered from paraplegia prior to his death, I have an understanding of the special needs required by wheelchair users. I don’t panic in the case of a medical emergency and have patience and compassion assisting others. During my time managing Hawkesbury Show I encouraged one of the committee’s daughter who had an intellectual dis ability to assist in the office giving her valuable experience, confidence and life skills. I was then a reference for her assisting her in gaining employment. I understand the challenges that can be faced in day to day situations and have experience assisting in many of these fields. Basically I just love meeting new friends and helping people. I love baking and teaching people to cook, during Covid I made videos of easy recipes and shared them with family and friends. These have been nutritious easy to prepare, value for money recipes that can be frozen or reheated later. I find teaching others to cook and bake a valuable life skill for them and then seeing and sharing a meal they have created a huge confidence booster. I have 2 vehicles suitable for day trips, a 4WD Nissan Navara dual cab with canopy if you like to go a little off road and a smaller Hyundai Accent hatch with large rear cargo area suitable for around town. I am on a couple of platforms and have work through all so please message for availability as it changes quicker than I can update the site.
