Hi all!! I am Andres, Through my life, I have always been in process of learning and sharing experiences. My father is a physical education teacher and he taught me how to be good at a wide range of sports, especially soccer and athletism. But learning about sports involves also a big understanding of yourself: your likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, your fears and emotions. It also encourages to develop social abilities and values such as teamwork, leadership, empathy and humility. With time I became a good soccer player and I had the chance to travel and meet people from different cultures with whom I established good friendship knots. At the university, I decided to study social anthropology because I wanted to learn about different cultures, customs, practical knowledge and other lifestyles. These experiences taught me that what is considered as valuable is relative and differs form every single group of people. I had the privilege to live with an indigenous family back in Colombia from seven months and I can tell that it was the most beautiful experience that I have ever had. I realized that happiness can be found in every little single thing, activity or memory namely collecting wood for the oven, walking to the closest lagoon, fishing some trout and harvesting potatoes and lettuces. Also, they taught me that being humble is one of the most difficult but most appreciated value in their culture. After that great experience, I became a social sciences teacher in a rural area in Colombia and I tried to share what I learnt with the new generations, so they can appreciate and tolerate different ways of life. Now I am living in Sydney and working with children, but this time as a soccer coach. However, I am still learning from them as well as they are learning how to be a good person through playing, having fun and making friends. I really love outdoors, so I try to spend my free time playing soccer, going to museums, cooking, reading, riding my electric scooter, going to different beaches, bushwalks and camping. Besides, I am passionate about animals and nature, so I will love to live and share these experiences with someone in the community who wants to explore more about this world.
