About

I’ve been a support worker for over 10 years now, and what really motivated me to become a Social Carer was my passion for helping others live full, meaningful lives—especially those who may need a bit of extra support to do so. I’ve always believed in the importance of inclusion and empowering people to reach their goals, no matter their abilities. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting a wide range of clients, including those with high needs. I’m trachea trained and confident working in complex care environments. I bring not only experience but genuine compassion and patience to the role. I think what makes me good at this work is my ability to connect with people, build trust, and really understand what matters most to them. It’s more than just a job for me—it’s something I truly care about. I have a strong passion for disability support, driven by a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I take pride in creating safe, supportive, and inclusive environments where individuals can thrive and feel valued. One of my key strengths is compassion—taking the time to truly listen, understand each person’s needs, and support them in a way that respects their independence and dignity. Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, nature walks, and spending time in the fresh air. I love incorporating these hobbies into my support work when possible, as I’ve seen firsthand how much joy and confidence clients can gain from being active and engaging with the outdoors. Whether it’s a relaxing day by the water or a gentle stroll through a local park, I believe in the power of these moments to build connection and wellbeing. With over 10 years of experience, I bring not only practical skills and training—including trachea care—but also a positive attitude, patience, and a strong work ethic to everything I do.
