About
Last year I was a homeware worker for the elderly and it was the best job I have ever had. Not only was it fulfilling to care for others, but knowing that I was helping make peoples days brighter filled me with so much joy. After working this job I knew that I had to find a career where I can be of service to others, a career that is filled with compassion, empathy and fun (which are skills that I posses!). For me there is no better feeling than knowing that I have helped someone but it also goes both ways as the people I cared for have also helped me. My previous clients taught me what is means to be an understanding person which I can now confidently say that I have grown this skill and would love to continue to do so through a range of different clients. I'm looking to expand my horizons and branch out to assist people of all ages and needs to continue to grow, learn and create lasting memories that impact both my life and others. I am someone who loves excitement and adventure and I am currently developing hobbies that nurture these traits. Currently I love yoga, bushwalking/waterfall hunting, ecstatic dance, snorkelling, photography and I am learning how to sew at the moment! Nature is my biggest passion and I love to be outside wherever possible, especially when it involves swimming and finding cute bugs. When I quit my home care worker job late last year I set off to travel for a few months so I could experience different cultures and immerse myself in a new world. Although I had a lot of fun, I missed the routine of home as well as forming long lasting connections as I was constantly on the move while doing a different activity everyday. I am someone who love spontaneity but I also value having routines and stability, especially when the routine involves helping and connecting to others. When traveling it felt like there was something missing and that something was a purpose. Genuinely helping others gives me that purpose which is why I know I would excel in this role as I would take the role seriously but can also add excitement and spontaneity to peoples lives.
