About

My motivation to become a social worker stems from extensive experience in helping, understanding, and being patient with individuals from diverse ages and cultures. Through my work in Car and Personal Insurance, I developed a deep understanding of empathy and the importance of listening to and understanding people’s needs. More recently, my face-to-face interactions while working casually at Petbarn have further honed my empathy and patience, reinforcing my commitment to support and uplift others in their times of need. I am passionate about health and helping others. I firmly believe in maintaining a balanced lifestyle through regular exercise and healthy eating. Equally important to me is the value of supporting others, whether it’s being there for friends and family or assisting a stranger in need. As individuals, we have a responsibility to uplift and support one another. While working for IAG in the Total Loss (write-off) sector, I gained many skills that I still use daily. I quickly learned complaint resolution and problem-solving, which have proven invaluable in negotiating and mediating situations. Most importantly, patience has become my strongest skill, allowing me to take the time to truly understand and listen to others, ensuring they feel heard and valued. I enjoy staying fit and active through regular exercise, but I also like to relax by playing video games on my console or computer when I get the chance. I'm excited to embark on a positive career change in caregiving! It feels like I've been searching for a job that aligns with my skills, and a career in care is the perfect opportunity to build on what I already love learning and doing. At 23, I have ambitious plans for the future, including moving out and getting a home with my partner, and achieving various milestones together. I'm also a bit of a goofball, so I love to laugh whenever I can and simply be a friendly face to those around me.
