About

I am a very compassionate person who loves spending time with people. I especially love hearing peoples stories and holding space for people and meeting them right where they are. I already work as a Death Doula and part time Funeral Director so this work is very much aligned with the work I am already engaged in, service and caring for others. I am very much interested to work with elderly people nearing end of life where I can bring to bear my skills and help people prepare for end of life but my skills and interests are not applicable only for the elderly but for all age groups. I am passionate about end of life education and helping people prepare for the inevitable and hopefully create a peaceful end of life experience. This can be achieved by offering to help prepare End of Life documents all the way to helping people realise the meaning in their life and the legacy they leave. My other interests are self development, Non-Violent Communication (I attend a fortnightly adult group and also facilitate a fortnightly childrens group). I enjoy Meditation and breath work. I love fitness, bike riding with my kids, playing board games with my kids, walking, singing, dancing, reading and spending time with friends and family, spending time in nature and having a good laugh. I have successfully completed online study to become a Death Doula. I have completed extensive course work in order to volunteer as a home hospice carer with Amitayas a local Home Hospice Care organisation. I am a Justice of the Peace, I have a current working with children's check and a police clearance. I am passionate and extremely capable and reliable. I am a good listener and I also have a good sense of humour.
