About

Hi there, my name is Wendy and I have lived on the Central Coast in NSW for the past 22 years. I am an energetic, fun and enthusiastic individual with a genuine love of helping others. I possess a caring, compassionate and giving nature and I believe I have the qualities that will enable me to make a positive difference to other people’s lives. I have excellent communication skills which enable me to develop meaningful relationships built on mutual respect, trust and friendship. I feel I could have a positive impact on people who are facing challenges in their life while also having respect for different needs, values, beliefs and cultures. I have a love of history, all things vintage and am a passionate op-shopper. I also really enjoy different arts and crafts and getting dirty in the garden. My other hobbies include reading, going to the movies, trying out new recipes on my family and enjoying the outdoors. Oh.... and I adore all animals- great and small. I am also very passionate about travelling and the adventure of exploring new places and meeting people from all walks On a professional level, I was employed by the Department of Community Services from 1993-2002 as a Residential Support Worker in a Residential Group Home working with young adults with Developmental Disabilities. I found this position both rewarding and challenging. A favourite quote of mine which I aspire to is “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible” - Dalai Lama. This quote resonates with me as I feel that acts of kindness whether great or small can always have a positive impact on someone’s life.
