I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy supporting others and making a positive difference in their lives. I have close family and friends with disabilities, and being involved in their care over the years has taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of adapting support to each person’s needs. I think I will be good at this role because I’m caring, reliable, and approachable. I enjoy connecting with people. I’m also eager to keep learning and improving my skills to provide the best possible support. In my free time, I love being outdoors, staying active, doing sports, spending time with animals, and exploring nature. I also enjoy learning new things and taking on challenges that help me grow personally and professionally. I’m a reliable person, and I like to think I know a bit about a lot of things—I can fix a boat, work on projects in nature, and even help regenerate a forest. I have a diverse background that has helped me develop many useful skills for support work. I have experience supporting people with disabilities, including a child with autism, as well as working with a close friend and cousin with special needs. I have also worked as a horse riding instructor and guide, supporting people of different ages and abilities, and in environmental workshops, helping groups adapt activities to their needs.
