About
I'm passionate about helping people to live full lives with dignity, equality and fun. I believe that every member of our society should be valued and treated with respect, and support given to the vulnerable to help them thrive. Having worked in varying professions throughout my life I feel I have a lot of life experience to share and support a role of diverse engagement. I've worked in a 'helping' role for many years, in the fields of aged care, dementia support, mnd and palliative care, offering physical, social, spiritual and emotional support. My background in the arts, art therapy, lifestyle and leisure program development and facilitation also inform my abilities, and I am eager to continually learn from experiences and connection with others. I'm often described as being kind, patient, perceptive, intuitive and fun, quickly building trust and rapport with clients and family members, and can communicate well with people from all walks of life. Personally my favourite things are; immersing myself in nature, from the forest to the sea, music, dance, appreciating and making art, travel, my animals, gardening, hiking ...oh and laughing, love a good belly laugh!
