About
What motivated me to become a social carer was my strong desire to make a positive impact on young people's lives. Growing up, I saw how important it is for youth to have access to support, guidance, and opportunities, especially during tough times. This drove me to pursue a career where I could help create a safe and empowering environment for young people to thrive. I believe I’m good at it because I bring empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to my work. Over the years, I’ve developed the ability to connect with young people from different backgrounds, understand their needs, and help them navigate challenges. My experience at MacKillop Family Services has further strengthened my ability to provide holistic support, ensuring the young people I work with feel heard, respected, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. I’m passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, which is why I’ve dedicated my career to youth work. Seeing them grow, overcome obstacles, and succeed is incredibly fulfilling. I’m also passionate about the arts, particularly performing arts, which I’ve explored both personally and professionally. In terms of skills, I’ve developed strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities throughout my work in social care and events production. I excel at building relationships, understanding different perspectives, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes. As for hobbies, I enjoy creative activities like writing and performing, which allow me to express myself and connect with others. I also love traveling and exploring new cultures, as it broadens my understanding of the world and helps me bring fresh perspectives to my work. I loving making music
