Hi, my name is Rebekah, I have had many years of volunteer experience both in Australia and overseas, from home visits, lunchtime clubs, to helping an ethical business start up in Indonesia. I am used to being around people from many different backgrounds, and enjoy connecting with others. My husband and I had the privilege of caring for his grandmother when she developed dementia, which involved meal preparation, medical appointments, shopping and enjoying the little things with a coffee out, or a chat at home. Supporting someone in a daily activity such as shopping, and spending time sharing about favourite books, authors, and perhaps making a meal together would be simple ways I'd connect with someone.
