I am a social butterfly to say the least! I was born into a big and growing family, being 1 of 8 children I have grown to learn and love. My dream career would have to be a teacher as I love watching childrens eyes light up with imagination/laughter and genuine enjoyment. Growing up in a family my size, I have picked up a lot of skills such a caring for younger children, cooking, cleaning and being responsible. I was born in Ethiopia but came to Australia when I was only 2 years old, that gave me the opportunity to grow and learn without the hardships my parents would have endured. I currently work at Amazon and although the pay is comfortable, I’d much rather be in a space where I can actually help people as I feel that would genuinely make me happy. My childhood was fun and full of adventure but being in a family of 10 has truly taught me the importance of patience and understanding. I have grown up to be compassionate and know that not everyone around me is going through something, it’s all about perspective. That mindset has allowed me to be judge free and able to connect to many people, regardless of any differences. ^& ^&I have a family friend who has a daughter who has autism. Her mother once expressed to me how overwhelmed she gets as she has 2 other young children she has to care for. I assured her that I can help whenever necessary and now she brings her daughter a couple times a week so we could just hang out. I think she enjoys my company and I have taught myself to better understand her disability so I can make her visits worthwhile. Her mother is very thankful and I am willing to do it for as long as she needs. ^&
