About
I've been thinking about being a carer for a few years now but just found the time or opportunities weren't right for me. I'd seen this advertisement and thought maybe this is my opportunity and to apply. I think I'll be a great carer as I'm empathetic of others and compassionate towards people in need of extra assistance. I have a passion in health & wellbeing in our community. I help my husband run Step Aerobics classes in the Casey area and we run free classes once a month to promote fitness in the community. We also help out the Dandenong Council with a few events they run promoting health & fitness. I also volunteer in our sons basketball club with Team & Uniform Management. We love to be involved in all community groups where it allows me to help others get active and having fun with it! I'm a strong Samoan woman with lots of resilience and determination. I also have a 7 year old son with a intellectual disability who currently receives NDIS (self managed) for his Speech and Occupational Therapist support so I understand a little in what goes into support needs for children with special needs.
