About

I wanted to become a Social Carer as I really feel my purpose in life is so help others. I find meaningful and supportive connections with clients, so rewarding, as is assisting with any task I can and planning activities to make each day easier and more enjoyable. I have had close family members struggle with both mental health conditions and disability as well as chronic physical health concerns and understand the struggles that people face. I have been a disability support worker for over 2 years and have worked with both children aged 3 - 12 as well as adults and older people. The experience I have motivates me every day to continue to help others in any way I can. I am an enormous animal lover! I work at a farmed animal sanctuary over 80 animals; horses, sheep, chickens, ducks and a turkey who have all been rescued. At home, I have 2 beautiful, high energy and super friendly dogs and 3 gorgeous cats who I spend the rest of my time with playing and adventuring with trying to fill their lives with as much joy as they bring to mine. I volunteer for Wildlife Victoria, rescuing sick, orphaned and injured wildlife and releasing back into nature as soon as they can be. I enjoy running and bushwalking with the dogs. I am also a qualified nutritionist and passionate about healthy food and lifestyle, I enjoy cooking and baking plant based food and recipes regularly. I hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences in which I completed a double major in Nutrition and Psychology (10 point). I am currently studying Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy and will continue post-graduate Counselling study from July 2025.
