About
I have worked in childcare for a very long time and love being able to help make a difference in families lives. I feel I have done all I can do in that environment but still love a caring role. This position was recommended by a fellow carer. I am a musician performing with a brass band or two and helping with community performances around town. I love sharing my love of music and attending and performing in community and cultural events in Ballarat and surrounds. I speak basic level Japanese and have a very good understanding of the culture. Living in Japan and then in Australia with my Japanese husband has given me great insight into how living with a dealing with other cultures provides different challenges. I am an Emergency Services Volunteer and casual worker. I enjoy being an active part of making my community safer. I have a family but am very lucky with great supports and flexibility. My current work with Victoria Police on Tuesdays is the only time in the week I don't have free.
