I would make a great Social Carer as I believe that I have the personal qualities required which are most needed for this role. Showing empathy by being sensitive to the emotions of others. Having a caring nature and treating people as I would like to be treated. Having patience and understanding for the elderly. Being an effective communicator having excellent listening skills. Conducting myself in a professional manner. Maintaining impartial and accurate records. Managing time in the most effective way by demonstrating good organisational and analytical skills. Having resilience to stress by recognising a balance between work and recreation. I would love to be able to make a difference in an elderly person's life by becoming their companion. Gaining their trust by showing genuine interest in them, making their lives easier for them and providing them with happiness. Eg. Accompanying them on an outing to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and taking a leisurely walk through the gardens.
