I had worked in customer service, which provided me with a fantastic opportunity to meet a variety of people and learn how to communicate with them effectively. I didn’t feel that I was reaching my full potential in society with my previous job as an office assistant, which is why I joined LikeFamily and became a support worker. I've been helped by the others 3 years ago after I had surgery, it was so touching to me. I understand how it feels to have a disability. Even though I have a disability with stairs but I still can walk, I can drive and do many other things. I would like to support and encourage people by using my ability and knowledge, to help them to achieve the life that they want to live. In this position as a social carer, I believe it could help me contribute more to help others and it makes my life more meaningful. I have been helping my clients with meal prepare, groceries shopping, doctor's appointments, out for a walk or coffee. Assist clients with personal care, medicines, physio exercise and accompany.
