About
I have a Cert 4 in Education Disabilities Support, and I wanted to become a support worker as I have a passion for helping people this developed from my experience working in a Support unit at my local school, I love working as teacher's aide and caring for my mother who has Parkinsons Disease and I have had personal experience with working with elderly with feeding, changing incontinence pads, wheelchair and transferring people with disability and getting around. I have the ability to juggle priorities, work under pressure and to be adaptable. I have strong communication skills, and I am caring & understanding, and I am a quick learner. I am fully trained through education department to administer medications, and variety of health issues as well as training I have undertaken while working as a support worker including First Aid and CPR training. The students I work with daily have variety of needs and disabilities, from nonverbal, ADHD, Prada Willi Syndrome, Epilepsy, Trauma, Mental Health, Aboriginal backgrounds and behavioral management. I am a caring, calm person who has a passion with working with children and clients of all ages and would love to achieve the best outcomes for each individual person needs. I have a daughter who is on the spectrum, and this is why I strived to get the best outcomes for my clients the same as I wanted for my daughter and the ability to do or be whatever she wanted to be.
