Hi, my name is Jorja, I am passionate about helping other people! I come from a big caring family who believe it is important to always be kind and help others! This is where I have developed skills of patience, empathy and compassion. I have always had an interest in helping people out and had a dream of travelling overseas to join a volunteer program for the poor. I am hoping to become a social worker after university (mainly youth work) in order to enhance the wellbeing of individuals. I am currently studying a bachelor of social work at university and believe I attain all the qualities required to become a social carer. I enjoy learning about the interests of individuals and bonding with them to make them feel accepted and belonging in the community. Being young means I am full of energy and willing to devote all my time to those who are in need of help and support on a daily basis. I am willing to work weekends and to carry out any tasks required from me. I will share my skills of compassion, empathy and patience by spending my time helping individuals who require assistance. For example, at the primary school I work at, I will always make sure to acknowledge each child who walks past me and ask them how their day is. If the child engages in conversation with me I will continue to ask them about their interests and hobbies and will even go as far as spending a lunch and recess playing games with them
