I’ve been volunteering for a few years and find it really enjoyable and rewarding taking people out for coffee and a chat, helping them make appointments and taking them to appointments. Have also set up new IPads and phones and helped with navigating same. I love the opportunity to make a difference to somebody’s day and enjoy listening to people’s varied life stories. I love going for a swim at our local rock pools and going for a coffee and chat afterwards. I love being out in nature and enjoy attending to my garden which has flowers and veggies. I go to the gym regularly as well as ride my bike near a local lake. I also enjoy going to the theatre, concerts, ballet etc and I enjoy reading. I’ve been studying philosophy for 3 years and also completed a diploma in counseling. I like to travel as well and explore new countries and cultures. I worked as an autism advisor for years before I retired and loved helping families navigate a new diagnosis of autism for their family.
