Hello, I worked as a teacher and support worker for many years before moving into coordination. Working now primarily in administration and supporting staff and clients with rosters and minor issues, I sometimes miss the face to face contact of support. I used to teach cooking, english and media. In that capacity, and as a support worker I worked with a wide range of people, young and old. I like to encourage people to focus on their strengths and not be afraid to do what makes them happy. Sometimes that means trying challenging things or using gadgets to be able to accomplish that which was not thought possible. I would like to work as a social carer to compliment my current job and help others achieve their goals with a little support. I am passionate about stories, I love movies and books, I enjoy taking photos and gardening. I am most passionate about cooking, which I used to teach to young people with disabilities. But mostly I just love it, I like trying new recipes and finding food spots that I have not tried before. I am creative in everything I do - my house and garden are always being redesigned because I keep imagining things I love to see. An interesting fact about me is that when I was in my first year of high school I did not like English at all and told my teacher that I would never need to use it. Six months later we moved to Australia and English became my entire life. I grew up to love it and majored in Literature, Media and Teaching. I guess what I mean is you never know where life will take you, but with the help/support of some nice people ( for me my English teachers) you can achieve anything.
