About

60 years of lived experience, most of it in service to country and community. I come from a typical nuclear family but have had much experience working with a diverse range of people. Australian born, Inky (my Service Dog) & I have recently completed a stint at a Residential Rehabilitation Facility & have learned the importance of 'life experience' in the Support Sector and the value of having people helping people out of the same hole. I have had careers in the ADF, as an ALS Paramedic and in Executive Management of a Health Service District in the East Kimberley. We enjoy cooking, walks in the forest, fishing (maybe you could take us fishing & teach me how to fresh water fish?) & many other varied pursuits. We love to learn & experience new things. I've been told we have a great sense of humor but at times it may get a little dark! Enjoy watching movies, going to the cricket and walking in the forest, albeit a short work (bung knees (lol) but we can manage about 5 km at a time). So, that's us in a nutshell. A little ratty but a little bit fun as well! We have had the incredible privlige of experiencing the power of people helping people first hand and am now ready to give back where we can. We are great listeners & do so without bias or judgement. We all have a story & we are all interesting and powerful in our own way. ^& ^&Watching cricket: If able, take you to a local game until comfortable with the outing, then, if appropriate and safe, explore the possibility of a big game in Melbourne. We could also go fishing, you could teach me the art of fresh water fishing in Ballarat, then have trips further afield if successful and safe in the first outings. ^&
