I started social caring around 5yrs ago when I volunteered for an All Abilities netball club where I was a coach and helped teach participants with disabilities the awesome game of netball. I really enjoyed this and so inspired me to go in to social support work. I really enjoy getting to know people helping people engage in what they love to do, their hobbies, interests and getting involved in their community. I also really enjoy assisting people in making healthy life changes like cooking nutritious meals and being active. I am a qualified and practicing Osteopath (B.H.Sci./ B.App.Sci. (Osteo.)). This has granted me a wealth of knowledge regarding patient centred care that is grounded in the equal importance of a person's unique physical, psychological and social health. I very much apply this philosophy to my support work. I love getting outdoors and doing fun activities like hikes, going to the beach and enjoying the sunshine. I also love reading, watching movies (Harry Potter is my all time fav), cooking and painting while listening to music and podcasts. I love sport, both playing and watching (especially AFL and netball but I enjoy all sport, except golf...) I am a fun-loving, bubbly and friendly person who loves getting to know people. I have been a Disability Support Worker in the past and have around 4yrs experience in the field.
