I have a great capacity for empathy and compassion and an innate desire to be of service to others, especially those in more vulnerable positions. I'm a passionate advocate for equality and fairness with particular interest in supporting people differently abled and living with mental health disorders. I've had personal experience supporting a partner for 5 years who struggled with PTSD and BPD and have a very close relationship with my nephew who has autism and lives with a rare disease that resulted in an intellectual disability. ^& ^&Through the previously mentioned studies and life experience, I've developed a deep level of empathy, ability to actively listen and adapt to the specific needs of others. I feel these are useful skills working with anyone but especially those in vulnerable or isolated positions. In addition, I understand that a good quality of life entails feeling connected to others and engaging in hobbies that are personally fulfilling. I have a range of creative skills from both working within the design industry and extra curricular interests that could be useful in helping others develop in their area of interest. For example I can assist with pattern making, sewing, painting and photography. ^&
