I’m a friendly person with a natural ability to connect and put others at ease. I’m often described as calm, kind, warm and creative. I love to laugh and can always see the upside of any situation. I'm looking to provide social support to people who may otherwise be isolated or in need of assistance to get out and about in the community. Helping other people brings me joy and I feel I have a lot to give back. My mother passed away a few years ago and I helped provide palliative care during the final months of her life. Learning to advocate for her and be sensitive to her needs taught me a lot about supporting others, respecting their choices and valuing what's important in life. In addition to support work I am a qualified health coach and a freelance writer. My professional background is in sales, marketing and PR and I have also worked as a Support Coordinator for NDIS clients. In my spare time I love to cook, travel, go camping with my husband, spend time with my adult daughters and read.
