Having been a Funeral Director for 27 years, I have been honoured & privileged to make a real difference & assist people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. I absolutely love working with people & making a difference. Achieving goals & having a great time doing that. I feel I would make a great Social Carer as I have years of life experience in many facets. Vast interactions with all nationalities, cultures, religions, and people from all walks of life with varied abilities. Empathy, care, compassion & understanding, are just some of my many qualities. However, I now choose a change in career path & still immensely look forward to the rewards that come with forming relationships & being with people to help them become their very best version of themselves. ^& ^&I'd just love to improve another person's life. Whether through a shared experience, an outing, accomplishing a task, sharing stories, sometimes just to sit & 'be' - with no words of wisdom. I particularly love the quote by Maya Angelou that says " People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel" I think that quote - perfectly sums up being a carer. It's experiences shared, outings, conversations, activities, memories made. Any single activity or interaction with another person is a wonderful moment. Whether it's a drive in a classic car, to go to a bakery & grab a coffee & sandwich to have in the park, or a drive to the beach or train ride, to walk barefoot in the sand & find a beautiful shell to take home & place on the window sill. Perhaps just a Midday Movie & bake some yummy cookies for afternoon tea. Each journey & experience can be special.^&
