I want to become a Social Carer as the clients life is very important and it's important for them to have a good quality life for the future. I want to be able to support them in a caring and encouraging way so the they can get the most out of life. It is very empowering to be in a position to be able to help improve someone's life in a meaningful way. I hold a Certificate III in hospitality and have worked in a variety of kitchens. My skills in this area would greatly benefit my clients as I am able to teach them kitchen hygiene, how to cook healthy meals, show them the best produce at market to pick when shopping at the best prices available. I love to go on long walks, enjoy exercise group and reading about history is a favourite of mine as well as self improvement books. Fishing is something that I also love to do. I am passionate about helping others to achieve their goals. I am proficient in Australian Sign Language. I am Hard of Hearing and can communicate either with English or Australian Sign Language (Auslan) and because I have a disability, I am able to empathise and understand the daily challenges as I live with this every day.
