About
I have a lot of down time and I would like to do something meaningful with it. I spent six months on a very remote island in Vanuatu doing volunteer work in 2008, and consider that time in my life to have been the most fulfilling and significant. Many of the children I taught came from very underprivileged circumstances and I considered it an honour to assist them in any way I could within my role. I would love to spend more of my time helping people and making a positive contribution, rather than working in a corporate sector. I am a social person and I love people. I have loved engaging with people in every professional endeavour I have had – from volunteering, to teaching ukulele to kids, to liaising with clients and building my business. Connection and meaning are the most important things to me, and I feel like this a role that I would both excel in and get a lot out of. I am a musician and music teacher. I love sharing playing instruments with anyone interested, as well as games, magic and puzzles. I can talk under water and really enjoy sharing interests with other people. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community
