I wanted to become a social carer because I felt passionate about giving back to the community and working with others, yet the jobs and industries I worked in never seemed to reflect that. I wanted work that had more meaning, that was social, community-oriented, and fun! I believe I'll be good at it as I am personable, patient, easy-going, and try to practice true kindness everyday. In this role I think I would provide a lot for people with disabilities; good company, teaching new skills, help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking and gardening, and an openness to try new things or do things I haven’t done before. In saying that, I also believe these people would teach me a lot and I’d love to strive for a relationship which works both ways! I am passionate about photography, volunteering, community, friendships, music, nature, and film! Some of my hobbies include hiking, making art, going to galleries/exhibitions, cycling, cooking, playing pool, reading, board/card games, going to the cinema, and seeing all forms of live music! I am skillful in photography and specifically analogue photography. I love photographing and working with people from all walks of life. I also love using photography in a more creative and experimental form involving mixed media, collage, scanography, and dark-room printing. I also feel I have great people skills and enjoy being around and engaging with folk.
