I enjoy assisting others in meeting their goals. I am a compassionate and sincere person with fantastic listening skills and love a good chat over a cuppa. I have life knowledge and use this whenever applicable. I take pleasure in seeing people being happy and smiling. I love animals especially cats and own 4. I love to watch, listen and read anything about them. My phone is full of my cats photos. I love to do jigsaw puzzles and play board games. Quilting is a hobby that I present I don’t have much time for. I love anything to do with quilting, and to a lesser degree, knitting. Arts and crafts are a hobby too, but I am not too good at them. My background is working at a primary school, and being a youth worker. I have qualifications in both areas. I work in Child Protection and supervise access visits with family. I do transport shifts for children in foster care. I also work in residential care which can be very challenging but rewarding. I have a very supportive family network and I keep in close touch with my siblings, kids, parents and aunts and uncles. I have Diploma in Youth Work, aDiploma in Business Management,First Aid and CPR certificates. I have completed DSC in Welcome to the disability sector Supporting people to communicate Supporting people to take their medication Supporting choice and control Supporting people at meal times Supporting people to move and other manual handling Supporting people to stay infection free These are the 7 modules in DSC support worker training pathway
