What motivated me to become a social carer is having my own personal experiences with mental health. I was lucky enough to have a good support system through my family and friends to help me manage my mental well-being. Having a strong support system meant that I was able to be a better brother, friend and son and overall person. I think I would be good social carer because I genuinely care about the well being of others and I always want to make sure that others are taken care of. If it wasn't for my support system I wouldn't be the person I am today and I would love to make the same difference in someone else's life. My hobbies and passions are based around physical activity. One of my passions is basketball but overall I just love keeping fit and active. I enjoy watching and playing golf, watching movies, trying new cuisines and am a big supporter of Rugby League. I'd love to share these passions with other people and believe that physical activity is beneficial for mental well-being. I was born in New Zealand and have lived there my whole life until moving to Melbourne in April this year. I would love to teach others about the culture and the way of life in New Zealand.
