About
I am a graduate student at UniSA born and brought up in Kenya. I have learned through my experience as a social carer in Australia that my communal lifestyle back at home blends seamlessly with this industry. Visiting and spending time with neighbors and ailing members of the community, chatting and learning from elders, and mentoring the young ones were part of my daily life. This being the case, I always found it easy to make people under my care very comfortable, and in a short period, we always became a family. I love people and my previous clinical training and work in Kenya brought me close to people in need and I always took time to visit and support them in their homes. I have a firm belief that everybody needs the other and nothing is more gratifying to me than putting a smile on the face of people who have various needs and in the end restoring their dignity. To me, this isn't just working but a noble duty. During my free time, I would play some physical games, especially Soccer, and watch a lot of it, never mind I always plan to join a gym but keep postponing- my bad. I also watch movies, cartoons, and comedies. Playing with children is one thing I find criminally underrated in bringing happiness, their innocence is amazing, and their questions about life is intriguing I love engaging them. My creativity and handling of complicated situations are out of this world too, I am gifted in handling tough situations. In general, working as a social Carer is my life goal and I would go out of my way to bring happiness to people under my care and I have no doubt that I was born with the qualities for this work. Please see my photos showing how my community celebrated my contribution to nurturing the youth and support for the elderly and the sick members of my community as a volunteer
