About

I have a degree in social work and have worked with children, young people and adults throughout my career. My dream is to work with elderly people who urgently need some companion and positive outlook on things. I am a very caring and compassionate person and have a lot of experience in managing programs and activities. I love creating adventures for others. I believe that I can support others by any activity and motivate them very well. If issues come up I am very solution orientated and try to see the positive in things. I bring a lot of humour in my work which has always helped me very much. As I have lead summer camps and managed afternoon care programs in a school I have a lot of ideas regarding recreational activities. I also love to explore different suburbs, what they have to offer. Being a social worker I have learned what is important when people are in need and I love helping in any way. My main passion is playing board games. Growing up in a family that always played a lot of board games, I have comprehensive knowledge in board games. I also love crafting, going to the movies and explore the neighbourhood. My favourite sport activities are ping pong, swimming and horseback riding. I had a pony growing up and taught children horseback riding. I also played tennis growing up. I am a very clean person and like keeping everything clean and tidy around me and for others. I also love cooking, especially with someone else around me. Due to my upbringing in Germany and the United States and living in Australia for the past nine years, I am fluent in German and English. I have travelled to over 30 countries in the world which has allowed me to gain a deeper knowledge and appreciation of different cultures. I would bring not only this acquired knowledge, but a tolerant and open nature, to the role. Due to my openness, professionalism as well as humour I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I have also completed a three- year apprenticeship in Office Communication where I gained a substantial experience in administrative and organisational work.
