Hi! My name is Dan, and I would love the chance to be your social supporter and advocate, and hopefully, the opportunity to become friends. I am known for being reliable and relaxed and for being positive, enjoying bad puns and having a big beard. I have a daughter 11 and a 13 years old Trans Son along with my older son who is turning 22 this year. I have many interests but I am also keen to try new things, but my biggest passion is meeting new people. I believe in helping so that everyone can spend time enjoying social activities, their hobbies and their passions in the manner they choose and with whom they like. I am also happy to provide company and support with errands, appointments, shopping or anywhere you might want someone with you who can be your advocate if needed and help alleviate stress or anxiety. I am flexible, and I am happy to provide the level of support and interaction you desire. We can hang out together and do the things you enjoy or I can be your quiet support shadow while you socialise with your friends, there to have your back and provide you with any extra support you need to enjoy yourself. I love listening to music, at concerts and at home, and finding new music and artists so that I can share them with others. I also love books, movies, and TV shows especially Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure and Superheroes, but I also love documentaries and learning about Science, History, Technology, Current Events, Theology, Philosophy, Nature and Economics. I love going to Museums and Art galleries, going to movies or the theatre, listening to lectures, attending sporting events and attending cultural and religious events. I am fairly tech savvy after years of working in IT retail but I also love gaming, especially on PC, but I also like playing on the Nintendo Switch for playing with friends, especially Mario Kart and Smash Bros but I also enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, bush walks, beach walks, bike riding, national parks, theme parks and I love most animals, even spiders and I enjoy gardening and even like looking after the lawn.. I am also quite geeky and love playing and running Dungeons and Dragons games, which can be a fun way to meet new people and role-playing games can allow people to practice and learn social skills and I am looking to set up a social group of others who might be interested. I am quite tall and big so I can be useful in crowds and for reaching high things and strong enough to push a wheelchair for a while plus I have a deep voice that seems to carry long distances. I am also good with technology and like to help others with theirs and I have a lot of retail experience and I am happy to go shopping with you to help get the best price. I have experience supporting people on the Autism Spectrum and those who suffer from anxiety and people who live with ADHD. I am also experienced in helping people with bipolar disorder and disassociative and personality disorders. I am currently studying for my Counselling Diploma and my previous job was running a domestic cleaning business. But mostly I am most interested in meeting new people and getting to know them and spending time with them.
