About
I am currently studying cert III community services. I am passionate about the outdoors and adventure activities. I enjoy hiking/bushwalking, rock climbing, camping 4wheel driving, snorkeling/scuba diving and training in martial arts (Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu). I have a significant trade background as a welder/fabricator, handyman and property maintenance. I also enjoy creating woodwork and metalwork projects. I have lived experience with social isolation and overcoming my own personal battle with depression, anxiety and addiction. Through the help of communuity services I have been able to turn my life around which has inspired me to give back to the community which I am now a part of. I feel I am suited to this role because I have empathy and compassion for others and I can relate to clients on a personal level. I have previous experience as a Peer support worker with youth (mental health) Peer support with adults struggling with addiction. Providing assistance with daily responsibilities such as shopping, travelling to appointments, cleaning, preparing food, exercise and activities.
