About

I feel committed to help and encourage the people around me, particularly children. I have worked in early education for four years and have only grown more fond of community work during that time. I love having hands-on experiences, guiding children in their daily lives Ideally, in a social support role, I am hoping to build a more extensive set of skills pertinent to all ages. I am currently in my second year of studying a bachelor of social science, with the goal of becoming an early intervention support officer. At university, I am developing relevant frameworks and skills necessary to provide care and support in the community. On a personal level, I’ve had some experiences with trauma and PTSD, I believe this aids me in bringing a deeper level of understanding and compassion to my job role. My experiences have only made me stronger, and more passionate about helping others achieve their goals. I am a naturally calm and radiant individual and I love to keep things silly and fun. My light-hearted and friendly attitude guide me in building strong and nurturing connections with others. Even if social support isn’t my life goal, I look forward to engaging and building relationships with each person I meet and assisting them in completing personal milestones. I am extremely passionate about both social work and early education. As an educator, I have built an extensive appreciation for how young minds grow and develop. I have developed the ability to create a calm, nurturing environment that allows children to grow and learn at their own pace. Everyone has the potential to be something, some of us just need a little extra support! Broadly speaking, I find joy in ensuring people feel safe, secure and valued. Through working in community services, I have also gained the ability to remain organised, flexible, patient and accessible, even in difficult situations. These skills allow me to comfortably navigate routine management and adapt to each situation I experience. Additionally, I have previously taken on the work health and safety representative role which has aided me in the upkeep of a safe environment for everyone.
