I wanted to be Social Carer because I had an ugly experience growing up. As a child I was often bullied emotionally by my peers because they thought I was a nerd, so I often got sidelined. It was a hard time for me because then I felt a sense of low esteem, suffered from imposter syndrome and would often not want to socialize. They made it look like I am not good at having fun, I couldn’t not have a say whenever there were conversations, and many more. However when I left that circle and relocated, then I met with an older friend who really took the time to show me how much worth I have, I could speak freely, I could have fun, I could dream and bring my dreams to fruition. That was really empowering, and then I realized how much of an impact I can have in making someone else feel seen and heard, make someone else have fun and enjoy themselves. I am really good at being a Social Carer because I’ve got: Compassion and Empathy Being a Social Carer aligns with my core values of Justice for all, equality for everyone. I also have a passion for helping people and this gives me a sense of purpose since I had an ugly experience in time past. I am passionate about Justice for all, equality for everyone. I want everyone to have a complete sense of well-being and to be able to gain access to necessary support systems. I am passionate about empowering people to be able to make decisions about their lives, to be seen, heard and accepted regardless of who they are or where they come from. Since I had a bad experience growing up, I am passionate about promoting mental health wellbeing among everyone. For skills I have the following: Problem solving Effective communication Time management Cultural competence as well as Empathy and Active Listening For hobbies: I play video games I enjoy traveling and reading I enjoy cooking I enjoy listening to music I enjoy watching and playing soccer I enjoy all forms of in door games I enjoy volunteering I always remember faces and names even if I am meeting the person for the first time.
