After being with my partner for over 7 years, i've grown many useful skills that allows me to understand and react appropriately against those with psychosocial disabilities. Being with her has taught me to be stay calm, to enjoy the happy moments, and to understand that there is always the calm after the storm. Helping people is something that's also called to me after spending my time with her, as it brings me gratitude and wellbeing. Being able to support my partner and let her grow into the person she is now is incredible, and it is always remarkable to see someone progress in their lives. Apart from that, I have also grown to learn what people are like. Since I am currently a student at university, i'm often in a variety of classes where there is hardly a familiar face, so conversations always lead to new friends, and new friends lead to learning all kinds of things about their lives. To me, it is simply so fascinating to learn about what someone's personality is like, what they've been through in their life, what kinds of things they enjoy doing, and so forth. Being so engaged in conversing has made me love to learn all about new people and to cherish friendships. As someone who is usually quite introverted, I often find myself comfortable when i'm with one other person and it makes me feel that tad bit more confident, enough for me to open up easily. I really do enjoy exploring places and getting to know new people, and its much more fun when I can do both at the same time. I would love to have a talk about any similar interests that a person and I share, I think sharing an interest really emphasises the connection and allows for an easier time to bond. If given the opportunity I would talk about the hobbies and skills that I do regularly. Say if someone has a skill with computers or games, I would try my best to connect with them on the level and try to get any hands-on experience if I can. If someone has never heard of it, then I would do my best to introduce them to the the topic of it, and see where it leads from there.
