My name is Wickram (Friends call me Wick). I'm passionate about providing compassionate and effective support to individuals, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives. My journey into disability support work began with a personal connection and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. I believe in a person-centred approach to care, recognizing the unique strengths, preferences, and goals of each individual. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, I strive to empower those I work with to make their own choices and lead lives that are meaningful to them. I leverage my skill set to provide tailored support that meets the specific needs of each individual. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, advocacy, or emotional support, I am committed to going above and beyond to ensure the well-being and happiness of those under my care. Choosing a disability support worker is an important decision, and I am dedicated to earning your trust and confidence. With a genuine passion for helping others and a proven track record of success, I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve. In my day to day life I have found myself always helping out my family and friends who have needed physical and or mental support. Right now I'm looking to have a work life balance where me and my wife can work on shift work while we can still care for our new born. I have a wide range of interests and I'm always intrigued by new things. I have a passion for learning new skills and experiencing new things. In the recent past I have been enjoying cooking, drawing, painting, getting involved in outdoor activities, trying different sports, board games, and the list goes on. If I'm awake I'm always finding something to do. As you can see from my resume I have worked in multiple industries in Australia. Even before moving here I have worked in different roles in different industries practicing International standards of Quality Management like ISO and GMP which lead to me being very attentive, high attention to detail, good at reporting and record keeping and other organizational skills. I have been equipping myself with various trainings out there to be a great support worker including NDIS Orientation, CPR & First Aid, Manual Handling, and other courses. I'm looking forward to make my own Like Family circle and build meaningful relationships through which I can help others. If you're seeking compassionate and reliable support for yourself or a loved one, I'm here to help. Feel free to reach out to discuss how I can assist you on your journey towards greater independence and well-being. Thank you for considering me as your support worker. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and make a meaningful impact in your life.
