My motivation to become a Social Carer was to find a job that would suit my caring nature, something that would have a positive impact on those I work with. Where there is a real connection and I can make a difference. I think I’d be a great Social Carer because I genuinely love spending time and sharing my experiences with others. I am patient & believe I have things I can also learn from others. I love reading & crocheting. I also find cooking & baking fun, especially when sharing the process. I enjoy walking my dog and listening to all sorts of music. I also find gardening very relaxing and rewarding, especially growing herbs. I’m married & have 4 great kids (22,20,19 & 17) all still living at home. I’ve learned just as much from my kids as I’ve taught them. I have a caring & patient nature and lots of life experience. I have completed a dual Cert IV in AOD and Mental Health. Currently studying my bachelor’s degree for nursing. I am currently working but looking for a more fulfilling role within the community.
