I love helping others! Growing up in a large, family oriented household, my parents were always hosting gatherings and get togethers with friends and family. I was taught at a young age that sometimes all it takes is some good food and long-lasting conversations to brighten some ones day. I never knew the importance of this until we fell into lockdown, due to the pandemic. Not being able to physically meet family, friends or people, took a toll on everyone's mental health. As a result of this, I searched other ways to support my friends and family, through this mentally challenging time (I would constantly have video call meetings, where everyone would share their feelings one by one or play online games together). Seeing how this not only improved their wellbeing, but also mine, I was inspired to study psychology at university (which I am studying currently) after Highschool. I have realized that not only do I love to listen to others, I am also very respectful, patient and empathetic, which would make me a great Social Carer. I love to cook. So, I'd love to teach or cook for someone in the community. I believe with good food, comes good conversations.
