I enjoy listening to other peoples stories and history . I look on the bright side of life and endeavour to have fun in a light hearted way . I love to laugh and also think outside the box when watching the sea ,waves on a beach . I like to create poetry and stories with people - try new things , new tastes . I enjoy visiting different places of interest and keeping lonely people company through talking , playing card games etc - or simply watching a movie . I would make a great social cater because I would listen to what the persons interests are and then plan things to do with them that are of interest to them . I work in aged care in the Lifestyle and activity section so my day is to ensure the residents have a fun active day - which I love ! Showing someone how to make an indoor garden using a jar and a safe “ soil substitute - coco peat “ Take a pellet of compressed coco peat please it into a glass jar and then add water . The water will be absorbed by the coco peat x 500 times. It’s amazing to watch and happens with 4 minutes . Small cuttings if the plants to be grown are cut from the garden it brought in by myself from my garden . The client would be shown how to place the cuttings into the jar . A couple of small pebbles would be placed into the jar for stability for the plants . The lid of the jar would be screwed on and the jar left in a bright spot but not in direct sunlight.Small plastic figures or animals can also be added for interest depending on the client .
