About

I’m a people person and I genuinely empathize with all kinds of people especially the ones with special needs. I was born in Nepal. I came to Australia in 2019. While in Nepal, I went for this 10-Day Vipassana Meditation retreat in 2013 that transformed my perspective towards life. I have been to such retreats multiple times now. I used to be a self-centered, pleasure-seeking person in my teenage days. But the meditation retreats helped me discover something I had never experienced before. I found myself to be a compassionate and loving person after meditating. Now, I’m not perfect. I do have many areas to improve on, however, I can definitely say I am way better than I used to be. I believe one quality that is a must to have in a great social carer is empathy. And empathy, in my experience, comes from realizing that no one is perfect, everyone has their own issues to deal with. Some issues might look more eminent than others but at the end of the day, everybody is equal, and the more we put ourselves in the shoes of others, the more empathetic we can be. I try to be mindful and bring positivity around me wherever I go. I’ve been devouring a lot of Andrew Huberman on YouTube these days. Working as a social carer will be a great opportunity for me to share and express what I have learned in life and further understand myself as a person who's on the journey of self-exploration. ^& ^&I love listening to all kinds of music and I play guitar and a little bit of Keyboard too. Never took any lessons, but just as a hobby, I learned these instruments with the help of YouTube videos. Everybody likes listening to music so I try to find a common ground by asking new people what genre of music they listen to. People love talking about their interests, especially with music, at least that’s what my experience says here in Australia. If their musical interests don’t match with mine I simply listen to them and learn more new stuff. And if they listen to what I like, the conversation would never end.^&
