About
I'm warm, friendly, conversational, life-loving & enjoy people of all ages. This could mean talking about shared interests, or your life, over a coffee or meal. I like helping people achieve outcomes & goals. I'm a good listener & patient teacher (from computers to writing to ukelele to fitness) & like to focus on what is possible and have a laugh. I was the main support & advocate for my parents in their advanced years & lived and travelled overseas with a partner who used a wheelchair (paraplegia) which gave me insight into day to day issues. Ukelele and singing all types of songs make me happy, as well as painting personal artworks & greeting cards. Other interests include short easy walking & bike riding, swimming, yoga; bodyweight, weights & mobility/fitness exercises; movies and reading. I have worked in University, library & community health areas, and have a background in event organisation, publications/writing, posture/mobility coaching and workshops. As well as the activities above I'm good with admin, computers and sorting/ordering things. I’ve studied Italian over the years, meditate & enjoy being in nature. I offer short notice, flexible hours and short-term ongoing availability for good natured social and creative support in or outdoors; skills development; admin/computer/organising help; shopping; and, transport on the Northern Beaches. I may be able to provide light home duties and simple food preparation. I'm happy to respond to enquiries.
