I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I’ve tried a few different jobs in the past but it became evident to me when I finished my certificate III in individual support and aged care, then got a job with a man with Motor Neurone Disease and worked as his support worker until he passed away. I loved seeing him smile and helping him with the things no one else could. What I love most of all is building a genuine relationship and knowing that someone else’s life is being made a bit better by my help and service. I have the ability to make a situation seem more positive when they may think it’s not so good.
