About
I want to become a social carer because it would be satisfying to be of service (my other work doesn’t provide that opportunity). My aunt and I shared the care of my late grandmother for about a year - she died in 2018, aged 100 years and 7 months. I have also advocated and cared for my daughter, who has suffered for many years from mental health challenges and was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder, OCD and panic disorder in 2021. Passions: cinema, travel, the English language, music Skills: singing, writing, cooking Hobbies: reading, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, op shopping My father was Italian and my mother was born in Australia, of Scottish and Irish ancestry. I lived in Papua New Guinea for three years in my youth. I have been a film publicist for most of my career and worked at Channel Seven for 7 years. I spent a year backpacking around Europe in my late twenties. I have a 20-year-old daughter named Bridget and a 4-year-old cat named Coco, both of whom I love dearly. I am friendly, patient and kind, with a sense of humour and a healthy measure of common sense.
