Hi, I’m Mike! For me, serving others with love, kindness, and compassion is one of life’s greatest joys. I’m passionate about seeing people thrive and supporting them in whatever way they need. Before stepping into my true calling, I spent 8 years as a manager, where my favorite part of the job was helping my team grow and succeed. Now, as a support worker, I get to focus entirely on what I love—helping people. I’m also training to be a counselor through a holistic program and have completed meditation and mindfulness teacher training, which helps me bring a calm, grounded presence to my work. My friends often describe me as empathetic and a great listener, two qualities I believe are essential for being an effective support worker. I also value empowering the people I work with, encouraging independence, and helping them achieve their goals. I thrive in problem-solving and staying calm under pressure, thanks to my experience in high-stress roles. I know that things don’t always go to plan, and I’m quick to adapt and find solutions. Outside of work, I love reading, meditating, and exploring different perspectives. I also try to balance staying grounded in my values with having fun and not taking life too seriously.
